My Review

I throughly enjoyed this story. From the start, I’ve been intrigued by Clara’s family history and letter. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened! I don’t know a lot about the military so this was neat to get a glimpse of it. I It’s been fun to watch her relationship with Andrew. I especially liked “walking” beside her in her journey as she learned and discovered who she was in Christ. I think the reader can take away from this book valuable lessons. I love how Patricia Beal weaves her love of dancing in this story. It made me want to dance.

I listened to part of this story on audiobook. While I loved the story, the narrator was a little hard to follow. I felt like the character’s / narrator voices were similar enough that I at times I wasn’t sure who was talking or if it was the narrator.

I recommend this book to my family and friends.

About the Author

Patricia Beal is a 2015 Genesis semi-finalist and First Impressions finalist. A Season to Dance is her debut novel (Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, May 2017). Her second novel comes out in February of 2020. Patricia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Cincinnati in 1998 with a B.A. in English Literature and has worked for the U.S. Army as a writer and editor for many years.
