Lady Jayne Disappears By Joanna Davidson Politano

“And the Maiden found her escape into books, the worlds created by the pen of some stranger who would creep into her mind and rearrange the furniture.”

FB_IMG_1502296209161 - CopyWhen Aurelie Harcourt’s father dies in debtor’s prison, he leaves her just two things: his wealthy family, whom she has never met, and his famous pen name, Nathaniel Droll. Her new family greets her with apathy and even resentment. Only the quiet houseguest, Silas Rotherham, welcomes her company. When Aurelie decides to complete her father’s unfinished serial novel, writing the family into the story as unflattering characters, she must keep her identity as Nathaniel Droll hidden while searching for the truth about her mother’s disappearance–and perhaps even her father’s death.

My Review:

WOW! What an amazing stoy! I  was captivated from the start! I had the pleasure of meeting Joanna last summer at a reader’s retreat! I enjoyed visiting with her.  I like how she combines several different stories into one.  Lady Jane Disappears is part mystery, part romace, part adventure and a whole lot of fun! I was swept into Aurelie’s world and could clearly visualize the story.  I liked how Joanna weaves hope, forgiveness and second chances throughout this book. I can’t wait to read her next book!

I highly recommend this book to my family and friends!

I received this book from the publisher to review and give my honest opinion.
