Road to Paradise by Karen Barnett

Margaret Lane is a senator’s daughter and devoted naturalist who lands a job working alongside park rangers in Mount Rainer National Park in 1927. Chief Ranger Ford Brayden takes his job managing the park very seriously. When a development company plans to build the Paradise Inn as a tourist destination nearby, the park’s unflawed beauty is at risk. – Synposis

Fabulously well written story that transports you to another time and place. Karen Barnett creates an a vivid picture of life of a ranger in Paradise, Mt Rainer.  I didn’t know a lot about National Park services before this book. The scenery and meadows sound beautiful. I’m not a camper but I think a visit to Paradise is on my list. I really liked how realistic the characters are. I liked everyone except Phillip! This is a wonderful story of the  Lord’s love and forgiveness weaved throughout this story.
I highly recommend this book to others.
I received this book from Waterbrook Multnomah for my honest review.
