Genealogy…

Hello friends,

It has been awhile since I have posted a review. Don’t worry, I am still reading and will post a review soon. Over the last couple months, I have dived into family genealogy research. Geneaolgy is one of those hobbies that more like solving a mystery. You find one clue then you have to find another one.  That’s what happened to me.  All I knew was that my family was from Luxembourg. My friend Cathy is a genealogist and has been showing me how to search through records on Family search. It’s been such an interesting learning experience.  I’ve learned a great deal!  I’m excited to say that we were able to find my 4th and 5th great grandparents. It’s pretty cool to look at their birth, marriage, and death certificates. You can learn a lot by reading them.

In fact, something I found out was that a couple of relatives of mine were unable to read or write or both.  That knowlege made me appreciate the ability to read and write.  Without reading or writing, it would be quite difficult to be a book reviewer. 🙂 Reading has always been such an important part of my life. I can’t imagine life without it. I am thankful that my 3 great grandpa immigrated to the USA. This opened up a whole new opportunity for them and their descendents.
